Registered Nurse - Cardiothoracic & Cardiology at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, ChristchurchRotating Roster - Monday to Sunday across Morning, Afternoon and Nights0.9 FTE (36 Hours a week). About the Role Ward 10 nurses care for patients who have undergone either acute or elective cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology procedures. The nurses on Ward 10 are involved in pre and post-operative care of the cardiothoracic patient, acute pain management with chest traumas, and rib fixation surgery. We are also involved in the care of acute and elective cardiology patients who present with chest pain requiring cath lab procedures, TAVI's electrophysiology procedures, and heart failure management.
You will have amazing support to help facilitate learning through our Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialists due to our wide variety of both medical and surgical skill sets.
About the Service Ward 10 is a 27-bed ward and is one of our combined medical and surgical wards which specializes in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiology.

About You We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a passion for nursing and a commitment to the delivery of high-standard nursing care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, forward-thinking, supportive environment.

Skills and Experience Experience in Cardiothoracic & CardiologyAcute medical or surgical experience is essentialAvailable to work all shifts - Morning, Afternoon and NightsDemonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.Excellent time management, interpersonal, and organisational skills.The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution-focused.Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is committed to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
