About the Role The Breast Care Services team are based within the Outpatients Department at Southland Hospital and is a small, friendly team who provide essential and specialised breast care to inpatients and outpatients. Your role as a Registered Nurse within the Breast Care Service will primarily focus on patient education and support.
Other aspects of the role include, but are not limited to:
Assistance with outpatient clinicsQuality Improvement of the serviceOngoing surveillance of our Breast Care patients who have had a diagnosis of Cancer and coordination of their careWorking with our multi-professional team and other related breast care services to ensure best outcomes for our Southern populationWorking towards nurse led clinics Whilst you are in this role you will be supported through completion of a Post-Graduate qualification in Breast Care and will be working alongside a supportive team who truly value point of contact education.
About you We're looking for someone who's experienced and organised, friendly and calm, able to work independently and at the same time genuinely interested in the best outcome for both patient and team.
