At the Southern Charity Hospital, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the health of our community across Southland and Otago. With post-graduate clinical experience in either theatre, perioperative nursing, or as a registered anaesthetic tech, you will be well equipped for our Clinical Nurse Manager role. This is a permanent role with the opportunity to make a significant impact and create meaningful change.
As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will work closely and collaboratively with the General Manager, Board, Clinical Committee, and our dedicated clinical volunteers. This role offers the opportunity to provide strong clinical leadership, coordinate operational functions, strategise and plan for the future, ensure service quality, and maintain health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical leadership and coordination to ensure the safe provision of patient care.
Promote excellence in clinical service through innovation and knowledge sharing.
Manage and lead the clinical team, ensuring effective orientation and induction.
Oversee the maintenance and safety of clinical facilities.
Ensure quality assurance systems are in place and risks are managed effectively.
Maintain a robust health and safety management system.
Qualifications and Experience:
Post-graduate clinical experience in theatre, perioperative nursing, or as a registered anaesthetic tech.
Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles.
Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its implications on healthcare.
Empathy, patient service-focused, and commitment to excellence.
