Prospa Contracting Services is EastPack's Orchard Management Machinery Division, servicing one of the largest orchard management companies in New Zealand, which offers a full range of services that aim to optimise productivity and maximise returns for our growers.
We pride ourselves on being one of the fastest growing operations within the Kiwifruit Industry in the Bay of Plenty.
We are looking for an experienced and well-rounded Sprayer Operator for our Opotiki Spray Division. You will be responsible for operational orchard activities such as mowing, mulching and spraying services for our orchard maintenance programme. This role will also assist our Spray Division Manager with co-ordination of orchard tasks such as mowing, mulching, and spraying for our Kiwifruit Growers.
We would love to hear from you if you possess the following:
Experience operating mowers, mulchers, sprayers
Have a current grow safe certificate and understand the safe use of agrichemicals
Understanding the impact of weather conditions for spraying and spray requirements for kiwifruit orchards
Class 2 licence
Can work independently but know when to escalate any issues
Good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
Good time management and organisational skills (able to prioritise!)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A good understanding and awareness of safe work practices
Flexibility to work extended hours including weekends when required, during our main spraying peaks
We would be willing to contribute to relocation costs for the right candidate if you aren't currently based in Opotiki. We also offer a competitive hourly rate based on skills and experience. We can also guarantee that no two days are ever the same!
