The job:
Reporting to the CEO, the newly created role of Regional Manager – South Island, will be a key advisor and advocate for advanced dairy diagnostics across the South Island.
Key responsibilities include:
Sales & Relationship Management: Build strong, lasting relationships with farmers, veterinarians, and rural professionals.
On-Farm Training & Support: Visit dairy farms to train teams on using DairySmart's AI diagnostic tools, ensuring they feel confident and capable.
Veterinary Clinic Presentations: Engage with veterinary clinics to demonstrate how DairySmart's diagnostics add value to their services.
Remote Sales & Product Demonstrations: Use virtual tools to deliver product demonstrations and training for clients who prefer remote engagement, extending DairySmart's reach across the region.
Distribution Partner Support: Train and support distribution partners, providing them with the knowledge to promote DairySmart products effectively and reach new clients.
Frequent travel is also required as you will be on the road visiting vet clinics, dairy farms, and rural professional groups in addition to relevant award nights and trade shows.
The ideal candidate:
You will have a veterinary, ag-science or ag-commerce qualification and a passion for the dairy industry. A strong sales professional, you will have well-established networks in the rural, dairy, and veterinary communities. Experience within the dairy or veterinary sector is essential alongside your ability and confidence to work with new diagnostic technology.
You will thrive in the fast-paced, dynamic environment of a startup and be a proactive, organised team player with excellent relationship management skills. Quick pivoting skills and the ability to deal quickly with change is essential.
