Located in our Auckland CBD office, the role is a Permanent, Full-Time position. The role is to effectively lead the business, drive growth, improve efficiency, and increase profits, while managing the overall operations of New Zealand including managing staff, overseeing the budgets, employing marketing strategies including E2E business, and many other facets of OOCL.Main Tasks and duties:Review and improve organizational effectiveness by implementing OOCL processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes.Must be a people person to manage staff, including performance monitoring, and possibly mentoring and training.Leading and motivating the team to create and implement growth strategies to reach and exceed business plan and budget targets.Identifying new business opportunities that will enhance profitability and scope of business.Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.Reporting key results to senior executives.Identifying areas needing cost reduction and process improvement.Directing sales, operations, and customer service activities.Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge or skills.Maintaining customer relations at senior management level with key accounts.Representing the organization at Official Occasions, Negotiations, Conventions, Seminars, Public Hearings, and Forums.About you:Tertiary Education plus at least 10 years industry experience together with 2 years of people management experience (not essential).Ability to motivate and lead employees and hold them accountable.Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues within the Auckland office.Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans.Must have excellent networking skills.Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership, and both written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrable experience in developing effective marketing, sales strategy, and business plans.Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.Ability to converse with people of all levels effectively.Passion for fostering a diverse, fun, and inclusive work environment.Proficient in the use of computer systems, eCommerce Platforms, and social media.Must have full working rights in New Zealand.Bringing a diverse mix of best and brightest talents to OOCL is critical to our continued success.
