Highly Competitive Remuneration Package including Company Vehicle and Annual Incentive SchemePaid Birthday LeaveLife and Critical Illness CoverGreat Team CultureAquaheat New Zealand Limited (Aquaheat) is 100% New Zealand owned and operated with deep roots throughout the New Zealand business community dating back to the 1950s.Aquaheat delivers high-quality building services solutions specialising in the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection services with clients from a broad range of sectors including public health, government departments, education facilities, as well as many of New Zealand's leading blue-chip corporations, large commercial organisations, and manufacturing facilities.We are looking for a Regional General Manager to manage our Southern Region project team, based in Christchurch, who will provide day-to-day operational leadership, undertake business development and key account management, and implement new processes and systems as required to generate the required profitability and maintain a sustained competitive advantage in all market segments in which we operate.The purpose of the role is to:Develop, implement, and manage the operational aspects of the annual budget and business plans, including the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the Southern Region project business to grow activity and profitability.A key focus is the development of business opportunities throughout the Southern Region, especially in the Christchurch and Dunedin marketplace, to ensure sufficient forward work.Provide effective and motivated leadership for the Southern Region, including mentoring and developing direct reports.Ensure accurate project pricing at the time of tender submission and monitor project outcomes to ensure actual delivery aligns with or exceeds tender pricing.Champion effective operational project practices, maintaining the Company quality, health, safety, and environmental standards and ongoing governance of the business.Qualifications and Experience:Tertiary qualification/engineering degree in the HVAC Mechanical trade or relevant construction industry experience.10 years of experience and proven track record in senior management roles.Intimate knowledge and experience in the HVAC Mechanical industry.People management expertise with the ability to lead, coordinate, motivate, and develop employees to create an efficient workforce.Knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations.Experience in client relationship/account management.Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing a diverse range of tasks.We are looking for someone who genuinely believes in providing excellent customer service, is highly motivated with a 'can-do' attitude.Aquaheat, as part of the Horizon Energy Group, takes pride in its commitment to the health and safety of all its stakeholders.
