This role is ideal for people with a background in Recruitment and Human Resources, who want to join a positive team environment to support conservation outcomes.The position will be focused on:Managing recruitment activity in our eRecruitment system (Springboard)Onboarding of staff, including adhering to HR processes and policies, producing, sending, and receiving offer letters and documentationCoordinating pre-employment checks and vettingSupporting with advertising roles and booking candidates in for interviewsWorking in a fast-paced and high-volume team environmentBuilding rapport and communicating with candidates and new startersProviding advice and support to hiring managers and support staff involved in the recruitment processYou will be professional and energetic with proven experience in Human Resources or Recruitment roles. Experience managing onboarding and vetting of staff would be ideal for this role. You will be able to hit the ground running and adept at balancing a varied and demanding workload, providing hands-on support to your hiring managers and recruitment colleagues.Ideally, you will have:Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems highly desirableGreat time management and the ability to prioritize and juggle competing tasksExcellent communication skills and ability to create relationshipsDecisive and action-oriented; you can thrive under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced roleA great team player and positive mindsetThe adaptability to turn your hand to any task that comes upA passion for Te Papa Atawhai's Kaupapa is essential as well as understanding of Maori Tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.The Department of Conservation /Te Papa Atawhai places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
