About the role Join the dynamic reception team at DOC's National Office, where you'll play a key role in delivering professional reception services, ensuring our facilities run smoothly, and providing essential support to staff, visitors, and contractors. You will be responsible for: Greeting visitors. Managing mail services. Supporting our vehicle fleet by overseeing vehicle bookings and maintaining keys. Handling meeting room preparations. Monitoring office supplies. Supporting the security and safety of our facilities. Collaboration is key as you'll be working closely with various teams across DOC, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your contributions will help ensure that Conservation House runs efficiently, and you'll play an important role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Skills and experience The culture of the department is friendly and professional, and we are looking for someone who is flexible, organised, and brings a positive approach to their work. If you have some of the following, we are keen to hear from you: Experience in a reception or front-of-house role, with strong customer service skills. Competency in using Microsoft Office programmes and other computer systems for managing bookings and communications. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with a wide range of people. Experience managing facilities or providing support services, including liaising with contractors. Flexible and adaptable with the ability to problem solve and identify issues and take appropriate action. A strong Health and Safety focus. An understanding of the importance of the Maori Crown relationship in DOC's work. Desirable: Familiarity with te reo Maori and tikanga is desirable. About the team The Facilities and Reception team is an integral part of our Organisation Support Group. This dedicated team ensures our facilities are well-maintained and provides a welcoming environment for all visitors. Their mission is to enhance our operational efficiency and create a workplace where everyone feels supported and valued. The team manages daily operations, coordinates maintenance, and handles inquiries, ensuring smooth and effective service delivery. The salary range for this position is $58,816 to $66,578 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
