Receptionist, Gastroenterology Department Want to make a difference in our diverse community? Passionate about working with people and delivering excellent customer service? We are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our friendly, multi-cultural, and hardworking team. As 'the face of the service,' we are looking for an exceptional administrative professional who is seeking a challenge in a new environment. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager and working as part of a team, you will bring a flexible, customer-focused approach to your role, which will be responsible for:
All reception duties including meeting and greeting and telephone Updating patient arrivals and departures in the Patient Management System Preparing patient charts and packs (labels etc.) for all outpatient and procedure room attendances Processing all outpatient follow-ups and other tasks associated with patient contacts such as reminders, cancellations, and rescheduling Team support – assisting team members to meet the objectives of the Service. This is a part-time position based at Middlemore Hospital, working 24 hours a week Monday to Wednesday, 8 hours per day, with negotiable hours of work.
You will have exceptional computer skills and personal qualities that enable you to work effectively in a complex and changing environment. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to set priorities and manage your time effectively. Ideally, you will have experience in a healthcare setting, and knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage.
At least 2 years' experience in a service-based environment and administrative experience Previous experience working in a complex and changing environment Highly effective communication skills, written and verbal Problem-solving skills using initiative The salary range is dependent on skills and experience and will be paid in line with the National Administration Collective Agreement.
