About The mSupply Foundation We're a NZ registered charity that works in 42 countries across the Pacific, Asia & Africa. We're based in Auckland, and you'll need to be as well (sorry!). We make software for managing health supply chains, and have a wonderful team of about 20 people in Kathmandu, 20 people in New Zealand and another 10 people in Africa, UK & Australia. Job Description We're rewriting our existing software, used in over 40 countries, to be open source. You would be part of a small team working on this rewrite. Be involved in our development cycle of software components, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Work with the team to ensure the scalability and performance of our software so our clients with patchy internet don't struggle with using it. Collaborating closely with the team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs. Useful Skills You need to like software in general, and be able to understand software from a user perspective Creative and takes initiative to problem solve Being highly organised + able to prioritise tasks well Great people skills – you'll be working with a team, helping them to do their jobs well and treat our clients well. You'll need to be clear, considerate, friendly, and empathetic, a team player Communicate clearly in a technical context Experience with agile and scrum practices is helpful, but not required Useful Technical Skills An understanding of databases (We use Realm or SQL ite in our apps) An understanding of relations databases (we use PostgreSQL and SQL ite) Technical Experience in order of priority Typescript React GraphQL Git and Gitflow SQL (PostgreSQL and Sqlite) Rust Webpack npm/yarn Capacitor, Electron and Java Other stuff, important stuff We're based in Auckland, and our future Developer will need to be as well (hopefully you!). We will try to pay a salary that is fair.
