Shifts : The shifts consist of morning and afternoons, on a 2-week roster.

Hours : Between 7.30 am to 5pm and 4.30pm to 11pm Monday to Sunday including public holidays (minimum 12 hours a week to maximum of 24 hours per week).

Location : Christchurch Hospital, Burwood Hospital and Christchurch Women's Hospital.

Salary : Starting from $31.62 per hour. Based on the PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical collective agreement.

Mo te tunga - About the Role

The Radiology Department at Waipapa Hospital is on the lookout for efficient and flexible Radiographic Assistants to join our kapa (team). This is a varied role for someone with a passion for patient care and who is looking to develop their career in healthcare.

Although you'll primarily be working at Waipapa campus, this is a varied position which could see you working at our Burwood or Christchurch Women's campuses too. Our service runs between the hours of 7am - 11pm Monday - Sunday, therefore you'll need to be flexible in your availability and adaptable to work within varying teams and departments across our sites.

This role is ever-evolving and will be sure to keep you thinking.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Interacting with patients in person and handling inquiries over the phone;

Assisting with patients;

Supporting the MRTs or Sonographers and Registrars;

Excellent communication skills as well as great attention to detail and organisational skills;

A natural team player, with the ability to see the bigger picture;

The ability to work cooperatively in a large and busy environment;

Knowledge of the Health Sector;

Experience in customer service is essential;

Confidence using computer systems is desirable.

No radiology experience or qualification is required for the position; however, a passion for the field of Radiology and commitment to patient care is essential.
