The Wellington Blood, Cancer and Palliative Care Services, Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley is seeking applicants for the position of Radiation Oncologist Fellow (Brachytherapy Gynaecology) for a fixed-term vacancy.
The Fellow will work under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologists who provide the gynaecology oncology service. There will be opportunities for collaboration with pathologists, radiologists, gynaecology oncologists, and medical oncologists.
The applicant will have completed Phase 2 of RANZCR training and be eligible to work in New Zealand. This position is ideally suited for a fellow wanting to upskill in brachytherapy gynaecology before working in a radiation oncology department in New Zealand.
By the end of the fellowship year, it is expected that the Fellow will be competent in the management of all gynaecological malignancies and will meet the criteria to independently perform HDR brachytherapy for intra-cavitary and interstitial sites.
Approximately 50% of time will be allocated to clinical work, and 50% to research/service development.

Vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
FRANZCR or equivalent to be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care
Relevant experience and training
