Quantity Surveyor Position

Auckland based residential construction company is planning to grow further in the property developer field. We are looking for a person who has professional skills and excellent connections to different construction departments to liaise, supervise andcoordinate with sub-consultants and contractors.
The ideal candidate should have

 Bachelor's degree qualification in Quantity surveying or 5 years Quantity Surveyor working experience equivenat
 Relating working experience is referable
 Familiar with CostX, ability to read and understand construction plans.
 Have excellent communication skills & attention to details.
 NZ full driving license

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Pre-contract: sourcing and maintaining subcontractors, quotation based on drawings, estimating, preparing SOP & SOQ and contracts
 Post-contract: project procurement, project cost tracking and variation handling; project specification (SOM) implementation
 Work closely with construction management team on site feasibility
 Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
 Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
 Project risk management and Prepare replacement cost assessment for insurance purpose
 Preparation of tender, tender analysis and reporting
 Maintaining merchant account
 Site travel when necessary
 Perform any other task(s) as assigned

Term: Permanent full-time positionWage: $32 per hourHours of work: 40 hours or above per weekShifted from Monday to Saturday
