With the companies combined expertise, they offer their clients a safe platform for them to deliver projects to their clients.A national design and build commercial contractor, this NZ owned and operated business provides creative solutions to their clients and operate a point of difference from their competitors in the market.Your new roleDue to organic growth and a strong pipeline of live and confirmed projects, this flourishing commercial construction business is looking to engage a Quantity Surveyor into their team.This is an end-to-end Quantity Surveying role, which will see you working independently and running your own jobs from Pre-Construction Estimating through to Post Contract Quantity Surveying.Responsibilities include:Pre-Construction Estimating:Prepare tender documents and assist in bid submissionsCompile SoQ's in line with standard methods of measurementCost estimation utilising cost planning, elemental, and first principle estimating techniquesPost-Contract Quantity Surveying:ProcurementContract AdministrationClaim and Subcontract Payment schedule processingCost control and variation managementMonthly cost reportingWhat you need to succeed Degree qualified in Construction Management/Quantity Surveyor or equivalentMinimum of 5 years working on commercial construction projects from NZ/AUS marketStrong leadership skills, negotiation and communication skillsUnderstanding of NZ Standards methods of measurementUnderstanding of NZS3910/3916 and Master Builders SA 2017Excellent communication and building rapport and forging relationshipsYou will have a strong commercial acumen, experience with contractual negotiations with subcontractor packages and the ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders are vital in this role.What you get in returnYou will be joining a business that operates in a professional and friendly working environment with a positive and passionate attitude about the projects they deliver.
