Collagen Solutions (NZ) Ltd is a leading international supplier of animal-derived biomaterials and a division of Rosen's Diversified Inc., a multi-billion-dollar Minnesota-based company selling into 30+ countries, across 5 continents, with over 4,500 employees. From our site in Marton in the heart of the Rangitikei District, we supply abattoirs with solutions for collecting and shipping tissue products and perform a range of tissue processing techniques to meet specific customer, quality, and regulatory requirements. In addition to the Marton facility, Collagen Solutions also has a manufacturing site in Glasgow (UK), and its Group Headquarters, including research & development, manufacturing, and commercial functions, in Minneapolis (USA).
Our products are sold globally to medical device manufacturers who use them in a vast array of applications including cardiovascular, orthopaedic and sports medicine, dental, wound care, and general, plastic, and reconstructive surgery.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role is responsible for systematic processes ensuring products manufactured meet the required quality standard. The role contributes to the team effort in achieving quality goals.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and verify processes for manufacturing products and operating the facility are documented and in compliance with procedures.
Develop inspection methods to analyse product quality.
Identify defects, technical issues, identify root causes of problems and assist with corrective actions.
Set up and execute validation and FMEA requirements.
Participate in and contribute to internal and external audits and responses.
Qualifications and Skills: A relevant qualification in Quality Assurance and or a science related discipline.
A fundamental knowledge of quality systems, preferably in HACCP, GMP or ISO.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
A sound and logical approach to problem solving.
Comfortable working to strict deadlines.
