Quality ManagerMonday-FridaySalary: Dependent on Experience37.5 hours per week (early finish on Friday)Location: NelsonMy client, a leading manufacturer within their field, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their team.Main Purpose: Support the business through a period of quality system change, including the introduction of APQP and PPAP methodologies, and manage an existing quality team during a period of growth.Quality Manager Requirements:Experience implementing APQP/PPAP processes into a manufacturing environmentSix Sigma qualified (Black Belt)Experience working within a diverse manufacturing environment (ideally nuclear or aerospace)Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100Experience managing a multidisciplined team, identifying strengths within the team and managing them accordinglyPlanning & Organising - Effectively organise all resources and time to deliver overall objectivesDecision making & Problem Solving - Demonstrates readiness to make decisions, take required action, and own outcomes while confidently using personal expertise to promote ideas.Experience dealing with customers, providing guidance and advice on product selectionQuality Manager Duties:Support and assist with the implementation of new product implementation methodologies (PPAP and APQP)Lead and conduct root cause analysis on non-conforming products using methodologies like 8D and 5Why's (RCA) and implement preventative and corrective actionsDevelop, implement, and oversee quality management processes and procedures (CI)Review quality aspects of customer specifications and contractsSupervise and provide guidance to inspectors, technicians, and other quality-related staffInvestigate customer product complaints and quarantined itemsCoordinate Quality meetings and training matrixesData Analysis and Reporting (Good IT skills, especially Excel, Ability to create Reports and PowerPoint presentations)Leadership of an inspection teamPrioritising inspection tasks to support production requirementsPerform internal quality audits in line with audit plansDocument ControlCustomer ManagementBenefits and Additional Information:33 days Annual Leave including 8 bank holidaysPrivate Healthcare after qualifying period – 6 monthsPension Scheme (employer contribution is 4%)Life Insurance after qualifying period – 3 monthsKey Words: Quality Manager, Quality Team Leader, Quality Lead, Head of Quality, Quality SupervisorPlease contact Clare Butler at Winsearch UK for further information.Winsearch acts as an employment agency for permanent staff.
