Job OverviewThis is a technical Management role, overseeing the quality and compliance within our processing plant. As Quality Manager, you will be an active part of our management team communicating with colleagues and customers at a senior level. You will be responsible for a small team of lab staff and will ensure the completion of our compliance control system and associated documentation. You will offer technical advice and solutions relating to Flame Retardant treatments and other services offered by Clarkson Coatings. Duties and Responsibilities Identification and resolution of fabric & coating quality issues which arise during production. Collaboration with internal teams including sales & production to address technical issues, improve processes and ensure customer satisfaction. Monitoring, correlation and communication of internal/external performance data with senior management. Management of our test lab personnel to ensure correct completion of process control testing and documentation. Management of customer queries related to processing and all compliance/non-compliance related issues. Visiting customer business premises to offer technical support relating to processing queries or problems. Assessment of new qualities and overseeing coating trials to establish suitable treatments. Overseeing the transition of trial lengths to bulk orders. Communication (written and verbal) with customers. Responsibility for the maintenance of test equipment & the ordering of lab related sundries (e.g., foam, test cigarettes and cribs). Skills & Abilities Strong leadership skills. Attention to detail. Familiar with process control systems. Good organisational skills and time management. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Understanding of Microsoft Office. Knowledge and Experience A good understanding of and an interest in textiles and textile processing would be desirable. A knowledge of FR regulations and testing would be beneficial. Experience within the textiles trade preferred. NB: Training will be provided by the Company and Management experience is not essential. Salary and Additional Information Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per year. Benefits: Casual dress, cycle to work scheme, sick pay. Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday. Work Location: In person.
