Everbridge, a global provider of critical communications and enterprise safety solutions, is seeking a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for the quality of our Travel Risk Management, Safety Connection, and SaaS-based Critical Event Management platforms.
This is a remote/home-based position that can be based anywhere in New Zealand.
As a Quality Engineer at Everbridge, you will be an integral part of an engineering team, collaborating closely with team members to embed quality best practices into the application development process.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, extensive experience in Quality Engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices, and hands-on skills with API and GUI based testing; both manual and automated.
Functional, performance, and load testing, as well as technical testing skills such as database querying and code comprehension.
What you'll do:Work closely with engineering and support teams to drive commitments to qualityBuild and execute API and GUI tests, manually and via automation scriptsWrite test plans and execute them for new features and applicationsTrack issues and work with developers to identify root causesGenerate and analyze test reportsPerform quality inspections of test and development artifacts within the teamDrive quality control around CI/CD pipeline process and implementationsProvide technical guidance/coaching to developers on quality tasksProvide an established record of driving a culture of quality within your teamWhat you'll bring:2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in an automated testing environment2+ years of experience automated testing using Python (preferably using the pytest framework)2+ years of experience working in an Agile environmentAutomated and manual GUI testing experience (Python with Selenium)Automated and manual REST API testing experienceAutomated and manual mobile app testing experience (Android and iOS)Experience of database query or scriptingExperience with CI/CD pipeline and build tools including Jenkins, Artifactory, Spinnaker, Helm, K8s, Salt, Terraform, RedisAbility to work effectively with product management, software development, and release engineersStrong understanding of QA methodology and the Software Development Lifecycle using Agile principlesAbout Everbridge Everbridge empowers enterprises and government organizations to anticipate, mitigate, respond to, and recover stronger from critical events.
