Assembly & Process Work (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Full timeThe team at Atlas Tilt Slab, located in Silverdale, require a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team.About Atlas Concrete: Atlas Concrete has been in business for 70+ years, supplying ready mix concrete, pre-cast concrete, aggregate and other related supplies to the wider Auckland and Northland regions. We have 9 branches across 4 divisions; Atlas Concrete, Atlas Quarries, Mt Rex Shipping and Atlas Tilt Slab.The main purpose of the role: To assist with overseeing production levels in the factory and ensure productivity levels are maintained from a quality control perspective. Post pour testing must also be conducted, checking the finishing and accuracy of the finished product. Help maintain the Atlas Tilt Slab Quality system within the ISO9001 requirements. This involves both pre and post pour checking and sign off.Key responsibilities of the role include:Meet the day-to-day production targets and productivity levels from a quality control perspective.Check all stages of product manufacture and complete post pour labelling and identification.Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.Complete all Quality Assurance documentation ensuring it is accurate and filed.Key requirements for the role are:Work experience in a manufacturing / production factory.Experience in carrying out Quality Assurance assessment on product and production.Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and practices in a production plant.Experience in pre-casting and moulding.Hours:Monday – Friday: 6:00am – 5:00pmSaturday: 7:00am – 12:00pm (occasionally)Personal attributes and skills:You will be organised and action-oriented, with a 'can-do' attitude. You will have Quality Assurance skills and excellent attention to detail. Being a positive and committed team member who is willing to help out when necessary to get the job done is essential. You will be computer literate with very good numeracy and literacy skills and also have very good communication skills – written, verbal and listening. Needs to be thorough and meticulous in their approach to checking.Note: Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and are required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
