As our Quality Assurance Practice Lead, you'll be key to ensuring FSNI continues to thrive in New Zealand's competitive grocery market. You'll lead our QA practice, guiding everything from our SAP and supply chain systems to in-store and digital business areas. What You'll Be Up To:
Delivering Strategic Leadership: You'll build a culture where QA is second nature, championing best practices, industry trends, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Creating Operational Excellence: From creating test plans to guiding QA engineers across our agile squads, you'll ensure that every project and every product meets our high standards for quality.
Financial Savvy: Represent QA in financial planning sessions, manage costs for staffing and software, and make strategic investments in our tools and capabilities.
Collaboration and Mentorship: You'll work hand-in-hand with Agile and Delivery Practices, supporting QA leads and inspiring them to improve and innovate.
Hands-On Innovation: Not afraid to roll up your sleeves, you'll showcase best practices, dive deep into QA activities, and champion test automation across the FSNI ecosystem.
About you
With a strong foundation in Quality Assurance, you'll bring at least seven years of experience in testing, including three in a leadership role. You have a wide breadth of experience on what food quality assurance looks like for solutions across a wide range of technology stacks, from ERP and CRM like SAP and Salesforce to traditional web and mobile development. Your communication and interpersonal skills enable you to connect seamlessly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, navigating complex, fast-paced environments with ease.
You thrive in agile settings, with a proven ability to lead by example, dive into the details when needed, and inspire a collaborative culture of support, coaching, and personal growth. Your background in test automation means you're always thinking about efficiency and improvement, and you have the planning, organizational skills, and strategic mindset to drive impactful QA initiatives.

Strong logic and systems thinking, with a knack for identifying risks and roadblocks.
Ability to negotiate and align on outcomes with key business owners and sponsors.
A commitment to innovation and staying up to date on industry best practices, particularly about how QA needs to keep up with the adoption of modern, Agile delivery practices and modern leadership.
Proven experience in leading a quality assurance practice (including managing large teams) across a diverse IT landscape.
Passionate about quality assurance, continuous improvement, and leading with integrity.
