The purpose of this role is to coordinate the Quality activities related to Quality Assurance and Food Safety.

About the role The purpose of this role is to support the QFS Manager to drive a positive and engaged quality culture across the business. Support the QFS Manager in providing fit for purpose, functional management systems to effectively manage risk identification and improvement processes for quality control. Reporting to the QFS Manager, you will be responsible for:
Quality & Food Safety Systems Assist the Quality and Food Safety Manager by maintaining Quality and Food Safety Systems by:
Analysing Quality data on prerequisite programs to enable continual improvements in quality e.g. finished product results, environmental monitoring.
Assisting with the coordination of prerequisite programs that support the RMP.
Assisting with developing and maintaining standards/specifications in relation to packaging materials, product, and customer specifications.
Assisting in maintaining supplier quality assurance systems.
Providing technical, quality and food safety advice as required.
Verifying Quality systems through internal audits.
Quality Control Assist with the development and maintenance of standards/specifications of packaging materials, product specifications and customer specifications by:
Assisting with investigations of quality concerns, customer complaints and non-compliance to specifications and provide reports as directed.
Release, disposition, eligibility compliance of finished products and ingredients.
Assisting with the development and maintenance of supplier quality assurance systems.
Ensuring adequate control of non-conforming product occurs to prevent release.
Managing the services and calibrations of lab equipment as per manufacturers' guidelines.
Ensuring document control measures are in place and maintained for the Quality department.
Accreditation & Compliance Assist with achieving the following compliance requirements:
Regulatory compliance and maintenance of License to operate systems.
Achieving and maintaining HACCP and FSSC accreditation for the site.
Monitoring legal compliance checks and analyses for all products.
Monitoring latest technical developments and research, assess new equipment options and improve efficiencies/reduce costs.
About you You will have food industry experience and ideally an understanding of dairy supply and processing with internal audit experience. Data management and analysis skills, procedure writing skills, be able to influence and motivate others to achieve change, able to analyze and interpret technical data and have strong document control management skills. Have the ability to work independently and have an inquisitive nature.
