Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)We at Axiam Plastics are seeking a skilled Quality and Compliance Manager to oversee and provide leadership on all Quality & Compliance related functions within the Company.
The role holder will provide appropriate support, monitoring and advice to the wider team and make regular recommendations on all quality and compliance related matters.
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our quality management systems, implementing and managing quality control processes, and overseeing compliance with relevant regulations.About The RoleWith a keen eye for continuous improvement, you will actively seek to identify and implement processes and systems across the business that improve and build on the status quo.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality, health & safety and continuous improvement is built into all aspects of our company and culture.You will be responsible for staying up to date with changes in regulatory requirements, industry standards, and risk management.
This will include ISO9001 and ISO14001, and other auditable systems.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain robust quality management systems in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Implement and manage quality control processes, including sampling, testing, and inspection of raw materials, production processes, and finished products.Manage a dedicated team across multiple shifts, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve organisational goals.Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality and compliance, and ensure timely implementation of any necessary changes.Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits.Provide training and guidance to employees on quality and compliance-related matters.Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and ensure the quality of incoming materials.Collaborate with the Technical team to develop and implement product specifications and quality standards.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Take an active role in Health Safety and Environmental requirements within the business.Requirements:Tertiary qualification in an associated field preferred, although relevant experience is also considered.Strong knowledge and experience of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, e.g., ISO9001 and ISO14001.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment used in the plastics industry is a plus.
