Join us as a Rail Protection Officer (RPO) in the Canterbury Region!
As an RPO within our Canterbury Rail department you will be responsible for providing a high level of Rail Protection to both internal and external clients.
You will continuously provide operational support to help deliver work for customers safely, on time, and to the highest quality standard.
In addition to the above you will: Provide rail protection for the work area, while communicating with train control.Effectively follow client specification and work procedures.Coordinate movement of rail vehicles within and through protected areas.Fulton Hogan has been supporting Kiwi Rail for over 20 years on the rail network covering all types of work from culvert maintenance / installing of culverts, bridge repairs, clearing major slips and derailments.
We have continuously worked alongside local track gangs on programme works in and around Canterbury and the West Coast.
We're looking for someone with: Full clean class 1 licence (class 2 advantageous)Qualified Rail Protection OfficerFlexibility to work out of town and on shift when requiredThe ability to think logically and show initiativeA proactive approach to Health and Safety it's our #1 priorityAll successful candidates must undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen prior to employment.
