The hours and days for this Butcher position are:
Sunday & Monday 0600 - 1500
Showcase your impressive knife skills and knowledge of meat. In this hands-on role, a day in the life could look like:
Cutting, trimming and packaging meat products as well as using different machinery
Interacting with customers helping them choose the best cuts of meat for their needs
Maintaining great presentation for the Butchery department
Sharing your knowledge by training and developing other team members
Championing Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety practices to ensure a safe working environment for customers, staff and contractors
In this role, we are looking for our new Butcher to:
Hold a NZ Certificate in Trade Butchery
Have a willingness to start early and work on your feet for most of your shift
Be a strong communicator and effectively communicate with customers and team members
Regularly lift up to 15kgs, bend, reach and complete repetitive movements
