Having some background knowledge of agriculture, farming or quality assurance will be advantageous, however this is an entry level position, and full training will be provided. We will help you kickstart your career by building your knowledge of quality compliance within the agriculture industry, develop your auditing skills, and helping you to become a technical expert in your field. As a successful applicant you will receive comprehensive training and to become a Recognised Farm Auditor. Once accredited you will work from home, using your company vehicle to visit farms throughout your region. You will be responsible for on-farm monitoring and auditing food safety, monitoring milk quality, animal health and environmental practices. You will work with farmers and their staff to ensure that they meet industry standards so confident communication skills are essential. . This role is perfect for someone who likes to be hands-on and enjoys connecting with farmers and other rural professionals on a day-to-day basis. As your experience builds you will have the opportunity to broaden your skills in other areas such as environmental management, animal welfare and on farm training. Managing your own time, workload and logistics is an essential part of the role, as is the ability to think on your feet. You will need to be physically fit, a good communicator and have a good grasp of digital technology. If you are successful, you will join our team as an Auditor and will based in the Far North - Kerikeri area. Qualifications / Experience: A tertiary qualification in agriculture, or soil science is preferred but not essential.
