Mo te tunga | About the roleIDEA Services provides residential services for people with intellectual disabilities who require a level of care and want to live in a supportive community.
Our services support people with intellectual disabilities to gain independence, be supported in making their own choices, be valued members of their community, and live a fulfilling life.You'll provide clinical support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, fostering community integration and independence.
Over the course of this 12-month fixed-term contract, you will gain valuable experience working in the disability sector, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
In this role, you'll provide high-quality clinical support, helping clients lead fulfilling lives within a supportive residential setting.This will include:Assessing clients (under clinical supervision / managerial discretion) to identify the client's risks, needs and goals.Developing and implementing focused pieces of work to address specific behaviours / support needs as directed.Monitoring and evaluating these interventions to ensure they are effectively meeting clients' goals and promoting their well-being.

Candidates with a completed Masters Degree in Psychology may also be considered.An interest in working in the Health and Disability sector.
