Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Nelson Marlborough seeks an experienced psychiatrist specialising in Infant, Child, and Adolescent (iCAMHS) to join our Mental Health multidisciplinary team Permanent part-time 0.8FTE (64 hours a fortnight) Negotiable start date No out of hours on-call commitment Marlborough Community, Blenheim, New Zealand A matou ropu (About our team) The Nelson Marlborough region, located at the summit of the South Island in Aotearoa, New Zealand, is a great place to live for both work and leisure.

Etahi atu mohiohio (More Information) Nga huanga o tenei mahi (The benefits of this position) The salary for this position is based on the current Senior Medical and Dental Officer collective agreement dependent on skills, experience, and vocational registration in NZ.

Nga mohiohio e pa ana ki tenei mahi (About this position) As a consultant, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for our young patients.
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for infants, young children, and youth with serious mental health conditions.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, utilising evidence-based practices.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, mental health nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
Provide consultation and support to families and caregivers.
Have a passion for delivering high quality, evidence-based, culturally responsive, and effective healthcare.
Enjoy working collaboratively in partnership with multiple agencies.
Have leadership potential for further developing the iCAMHS service.

(Who is an appropriate applicant?)
Bring experience and knowledge of attachment, adverse childhood events, developmental disorders, and childhood mental health disorders.
Hold Fellowship or Membership of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent.
Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and Vocational Registration of Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Have at least two years post-registration experience with iCAMHS inpatients or outpatients.
Have up-to-date knowledge of current research, treatments, and guidelines relating to major mental health issues of children and youth.
Have experience in liaison/consultation with other agencies.
Strong commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
