SECA | ASMSIn addition to your salary, you will:Receive a generous annual allowance covering your continued medical education expenses (including associated travel and accommodation costs) as well as paid time off to attend events including international conferences.Have access to an employer matched Superannuation contribution of up to 6% of annual earnings.Be reimbursed for competitive relocation, accommodation, and car rental expenses (conditions apply).Nga mohiohio e pa ana ki tenei mahi (About this position)The successful applicant will:Supervise and/or conduct urgent psychiatric evaluation and assessments of individuals referred to the Community Assessment Team from the community, emergency department, and medical/surgical wards.Provide diagnosis and discuss treatment options for mental health conditions to individuals and their families.Join a supportive multidisciplinary team including a registrar, mental health nurses, and social workers to review cases and develop comprehensive care plans.Lead a team offering urgent interventions and support for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.Liaise with whanau and others involved in patients' care in community services.Be responsible for leadership and further development of the Community Assessment Team including further developing the consultation-liaison service in keeping with evidence-based and best practice models.Ko wai he kaitono totika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)The ideal applicant will:Bring your psychiatric expertise to improve mental health for the acute community in the region.Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent.Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate and vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.Have experience including providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment interventions to individuals suffering from mental health and addictive disorders.Work with others to promote a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines.Demonstrate commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.Me pehea ahau e tono ai?
