Role Overview: We are looking for a collaborative and innovative Propositions Manager to support the development of new products and to continue the evolution of our existing portfolio. In this role, you will uphold our three Good Customer Outcomes principles: Trust, Value, and Clarity, ensuring they are integral to our product management processes.
Job Description Key Responsibilities: Proposition and Product Management Develop and implement replicable product practices and processes, including product reviews and priority management. Craft clear and compelling customer value propositions and policy wordings. Champion customer needs to ensure our products meet expectations and uphold our commitment to good outcomes. Monitor market and international trends. New Proposition Development Drive the strategic direction for sustainable growth, managing the proposition development pipeline in alignment with our business strategy. Collaborate with Customer Development & Design and Data & Analytics teams to understand customer needs and create motivating propositions. Conduct market research and customer testing to refine our offerings and improve overall customer experience. Partner with various teams to evaluate financial impacts and support new product launches through effective go-to-market strategies. Support the Senior Propositions Commercial Manager to work with partners to ensure proposition, product and pricing objects all continue to be met. Contribute to go-to-market activity of new product launches which include product training and market engagements. Existing Portfolio Evolution and Product Improvement Monitor and assess the performance of current products, develop and maintain performance reporting, ensuring compliance with competitiveness benchmarks. Support the Senior Propositions Commercial Manager to conduct regular reviews of legacy products, recommending actions to meet evolving customer expectations. Set up and maintain an overview of the product portfolio including a knowledgebase centre for frontline. Maintain and prepare technical product specifications, documentation and product policies in conjunction with stakeholders. Desired Skills and Experience What We're Looking For: Knowledge of NZ industry is desirable. 3-5 years proven experience in a product or propositions role. Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across teams. Experience in multi-channel distribution environments and a solid understanding of operational dynamics. Strong technical understanding of product systems and customer experience platforms. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines. Tertiary qualification in business or marketing, with professional marketing accreditation preferred. Comprehensive understanding of risk and regulatory environments.
