They have 50+ campuses in 15 locations across New Zealand and Australia.The RoleThe role of the Property Manager is to manage all leasing and fitout activity for properties across their portfolio, plus ensure they are well maintained, compliant and operate cost effectively.The wider responsibilities in this role may include but not be limited to:Contribute to UP Education's property management strategy and annual planning/budget processesManage all lease work, including landlord interaction, rent reviews, outgoings management, lease renewals, new leases, and reinstatementsManage any fitout work required, including the scoping for approval (design, budget estimation, timing) and delivery on time/budget with least disruption to the campus, with clear and regular written communication with all stakeholdersEnsure that maintenance plans are in place, to maintain each campus in good condition, that is commercially viable and executed in the most cost-effective and timely way.Effectively track and manage expenditure against budgetsEnsure legal and regulatory compliance to all relevant property-related requirements and rules, e.g. BWOF, use of property, fire evacuation, occupancy restrictions, asbestos management, compliance with resource consentsAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will likely have the following skills and attributes:5+ years' experience within property, preferably with strong knowledge of best practice property management principlesStrong customer service ethic and stakeholder management skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyHighly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise deadlinesStrong verbal and written communicationBachelor of Property Degree or similar tertiary qualification (preferred, but not essential)This role affords the opportunity to progress your career via active property management and work on a wide variety of assets for a leading education group, with ambitious growth goals, within an in-demand sector.
