The Development business unit are pivotal in realizing this dream. We call this goal "7x7", and we're right on track to achieving it. We recently commissioned our $450m Harapaki Wind Farm and have several other projects in various stages of development around the country.Job DescriptionAs part of Development, this role will support the Renewable Construction Team, which is working (along with the rest of the Development Team) to complete a pipeline of renewable electricity projects to help New Zealand maintain its security of supply and meet its climate change goals.What you'll be doingYou'll be part of the Renewable Construction Team within the Development Business Unit. This team is responsible for building new assets to meet Meridian's strategic goal of playing our part in decarbonising NZ. The team is accountable for detailed design, contract tendering, negotiations and award of key contracts, site construction works, commissioning and handover. To be successful, we work closely with many teams across the business, as well as suppliers and consultants.Your role is critical to the success of every project by providing support to the workstream leaders and wider team members.While being a specialist in your own right you will also be a team player and respond to the challenges of complex construction interdependencies with an emphasis on doing great work for our internal Customers.What you'll bringPrior demonstrated success in supporting projects and work stream leaders.Perform office administrative functions for major projects.Great organisational skills and time management with the ability to handle multiple assignments and competing priorities.Good understanding and practical application of the Microsoft Office 365 software.Excellent communication and influencing skills both verbal and written.Experience in working effectively in a team environment.Have excellent written and oral communication skills.A passion for protecting the environment and ensuring works are completed as sustainably as possible.The collaborative nature of this role is such that there is an expectation for you to spend time in the office, but we also value work/life balance, so our Work from Home and flexible work options (where possible) make things easier for you and your whanau.Additional InformationWe've got a strong culture - we like to work hard and have fun while we're doing it.
