Team Lead - Paraplanning & Advisory (Wellington)

Details of the offer

Team Lead - Paraplanning & Advisory (Wellington) At AdviceFirst and enable.me, we are here for our clients, their family or their businesses. We provide financial advice and coaching that help Kiwis take control of their finances and to realise a better financial future.
How we conduct our business is just as important as what we do. Our culture thrives on supporting each other to achieve the best outcomes for our clients. We care for each other and are proud to be Rainbow Tick and Living wage certified.
On offer:
This is a unique opportunity for someone who is experienced in the paraplanning space but has been looking for an opportunity to step into leadership. Our paraplanning and advisory teams are responsible for producing high quality personal financial plans that are easy to understand, meet all compliance requirements and support our purpose of helping New Zealanders realise a better financial future. This role could be located in either our Wellington or Auckland office with team members located in both.
Each financial plan needs to be personal and unique to the individual client. The ability to analyse a client's financial position, work alongside an experienced Adviser, and recommend a strategy to help them achieve their goals is crucial. This role is a mix of on-tools and team lead responsibilities so you don't necessarily need to have had formal leadership experience to be considered. We will be exploring experiences in influencing or mentoring others as a minimum.
What are we looking for?
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate goals and manage deadlines to the team.
High level of accuracy and an eye for detail.
Experience in and understanding of the Financial services industry.
A tertiary qualification in business, finance, economics or accounting is desirable, but not essential. Working towards your Financial Services L5 qualification is a plus.
A natural leader, with experience in stepping up and supporting others.
Time management skills to manage workloads and delegate tasks effectively.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail, while being adaptable to different customer needs.
Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel and strong writing skills.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
Your application will include the following questions:
What is your current notice period?
What are your salary expectations?
Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
