Silver Fern Farms are looking for an experienced Planner / Scheduler who will be responsible for continuous development, rolling out and overseeing a centralised "Road Map" to schedule shutdowns annually, across all 14 sites nationally for our business.
You will become a subject matter expert on CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) utilization and develop a wide knowledge and understanding of effective maintenance systems and methods, which you will then utilise to engage both internal and external stakeholders nationally while maintaining full visibility of the shut cycle by effectively influencing the changes in a way that will develop a centralised plan for a sustainable process for the future.
You will interface with Operations and Maintenance staff to ensure the sites are ready and prepared at the specified timeframes based on business needs, and not only execute but ensure the close is run to deadline and on time frames set out, to ensure minimal disruption to the site and production.
Location: This role can be based out of Dunedin, Christchurch, or at one of our larger processing sites.
As a Project/Shutdown Scheduler Specialist, you will be a strong self-starter with excellent communication skills to maintain and develop relationships both up and down within our business and with external stakeholders.
You will have a solid track record of delivery on time and a strong understanding of the needs of a large scale FMCG business - with a desire to implement change and encourage positive workflow that will see this programme leaving a legacy for the sites nationally.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
Experience of Shutdown Planning & Scheduling in a large scale/national capacity
Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
Competency in the use of Microsoft applications
Exceptional organisational and time management ability & ability to communicate with multiple parties at any one time
Strong analytical ability to solve challenges and create opportunities
Knowledge of Engineering components and equipment
Ability to travel nationally to meet the requirements of the position

Hokitika (West Coast)
Takapau & Pacific (Hawkes Bay)
Previous experience in CMMS (MEX) desirable but not essential. Proficiency at Using a Scheduling tool (Microsoft Project or Primavera P6) desirable. A relevant trade's qualification and/or previous Maintenance Planning experience is preferred but not essential.
