The Water Supply Capital Delivery team is responsible for the delivery of the water supply capital works projects.
About the role | Ko te mahi nei
The Project Manager is a key member of the water supply capital delivery team and is accountable for the professional delivery of projects within the defined scope, time and budget constraints, through all stages of the Council's project life cycle.
Your responsibilities will include:

Project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and closure.
Being responsible for delivery of projects with multiple disciplines including civil, mechanical and electrical scope elements.
Ensuring the effective management of scope, time, cost, quality issues and risks, communications and procurement as well as project reporting and the operational handover of the project to the project/asset owner(s).

As a proactive person, you will be motivated by working towards deadlines. You will enjoy working in a high performing, collaborative environment that requires a solution-orientated, results-driven and positive focus. You will also have:

A relevant university qualification, excellent communication and report writing skills and extensive industry and project management experience.
Proven experience and knowledge of the 3 waters horizontal infrastructure as well as pump stations, suction tanks and water reservoirs.
Understanding of the application of project management methodologies ensuring your work is delivered within budget, on time and to specified levels of quality.

Hours of work - 37.5 - 40 hours per week Position - Permanent Location - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices - 53 Hereford Street Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $121,946 - $135,496 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
