Responsibilities Coordinate all construction operations and phase scheduling to meet deadlines effectively. Negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and workers, ensuring favorable terms. Obtain necessary permits and licenses from authorities, maintaining compliance throughout projects. Manage resources from start to finish, optimizing efficiency within budget constraints. Acquire and monitor equipment and materials, promptly addressing any shortages or inadequacies. Lead the hiring process for contractors and staff, allocating responsibilities strategically. Provide crucial input for third-party contract preparations, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards, collaborating closely with relevant departments. Facilitate project planning sessions, overseeing all project documentation comprehensively. Design and implement risk mitigation plans, minimizing potential disruptions effectively. Conduct thorough project reviews, creating detailed reports for clients and senior management. Communicate project progress and milestones clearly and regularly to stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes and approaches as needed. Manage large and diverse teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, enforcing standards consistently. Effectively manage client and stakeholder relationships, addressing needs and expectations. Monitor and manage project budgets, taking proactive measures to achieve targets successfully. Qualifications & Skills BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field. PMP or equivalent certification preferred. Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles. Familiarity with Australian quality, health, and safety standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in relevant procurement software and tools. Ability to work well under pressure and make informed decisions. Strong attention to detail and conflict resolution skills. Leadership abilities and team player mindset.
