This is a permanent role at the Mount Maunganui site, where you'll be part of the Site Management Team and working closely with the Site Manager, Production, Engineering and Contractors, supporting capital projects and process improvements.
Your responsibilities will include… Managing projects from planning to conclusion, optimising building, manufacturing and industrial processes.Management of projects within budget and timeframes, ensuring alignment with business outcomesMaintain safe work practices in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety & environmental standardsTechnical writing of change controls, risk assessments, hazard operability studies (HAZOP), procurement-related documents and technical reports validation and certificationQuarterly review and prioritisation of capital projects in conjunction with the Site ManagerContribute to annual capital budget & plan for approvalManaging and maintaining effective systems for contractors and contractsEnsure there is effective communication within and across teamsWe will be looking for a self-motivated professional with the ability to multi-task and a belief in doing the job safely. You further need an organised and forward-thinking work style and be a great team player and communicator.
The following skills and experience are required:
Degree in Engineering (ideally mechanical, chemical/process or similar will be considered)Formal Project Management training and ideally 5+ years' experience (less will be considered)Experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environmentExperience with HAZOPStrong verbal and written communication skillsSuccessful application of continuous improvement/lean toolsDetermination to get the job done right the first timeSelf-motivated, forward thinking and able to prioritiseExperience with developing cost estimates, schedules and project plans for capital projectsGood overall business acumen and commercial understandingAble to independently manage multiple projectsIdeally management in a FSSC 22000 certified environmentStrong software skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPointExperience with ERP systems such as AX, SAP or similarThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project manager to apply their experience and further develop their expertise of plant and processes.
