What you'll enjoy doing Pricing, planning and tendering for a wide range of projects and management of resources within budget while also ensuring that all targets are metIdentifying problems/faults in the field, and identification of appropriate solutionsManaging project resources including managing and developing efficient work teamsEnsuring progress of projects is on track using appropriate technologiesIdentifying new opportunities for the branch to submit tenders, preparing and collating information for tender submission and maintaining appropriate records and informationDay to day leadership and management of the people ensuring health, safety and quality targets are met including audits, toolbox meetings, reporting and managing quality assurance processes.Project management activities including training, work allocation and ensuring work completed is to the highest possible standard What you'll bring BE, NZCE (Civil) or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent or near completion of diplomaExperience in all aspects of civil construction/roading with a preference for those with maintenance experience. Knowledge of set-out and quality control is also desirable for this positionStrong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project and previous experience using RAMM desirableBeing adaptable, flexible and having the capacity to cope with multiple issuesCommitment to the highest standards of health and safetyThe ability to lead and motivate teams to meet targets and objectives About Us Higgins is a leading roading and civil infrastructure company in New Zealand.
