Location: Waikato, New Zealand Role: Project Manager My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee their renewables and construction projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality. This role requires a solid understanding of the renewables industry, budgeting, forecasting, and relevant legislation, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. About the Company: The company is prominent global player in the infrastructure, renewable energy, services, and technology sectors and they operate across a variety of industries, including electricity, gas, industrial facilities, railways, telecommunications, water, and environmental services. Responsibilities: Oversee all construction operations and scheduling to meet project deadlines efficiently. Negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and workers to secure favorable terms. Ensure compliance with permits and licenses throughout all project phases. Manage resources effectively, optimizing efficiency while adhering to budget constraints. Monitor equipment and material procurement, addressing any shortages promptly. Lead the recruitment process for contractors and staff, strategically assigning responsibilities. Contribute to the preparation of third-party contracts, ensuring clarity and precision. Uphold health and safety standards by collaborating with relevant departments. Facilitate project planning sessions and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Conduct detailed project reviews and prepare reports for clients and senior management. Communicate project progress and milestones consistently to stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, refining processes as necessary. Manage diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures, maintaining established standards. Cultivate strong client and stakeholder relationships, addressing their needs effectively. Monitor and manage project budgets, taking proactive steps to meet targets. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in engineering, building science, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification preferred. Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in construction. Thorough understanding of construction procedures and project management principles. Familiarity with relevant quality, health, and safety standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficient in procurement software and tools. Ability to work effectively under pressure and make informed decisions. Detail-oriented with strong conflict resolution skills.
