Position Title: Project Manager – AI and Machine LearningLocation: Auckland CityAbout Project Plus: Project Plus is a leading consultancy specialising in project management and technical solutions across New Zealand. We partner with organisations to deliver transformative projects and drive innovation.Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead our AI and Machine Learning projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a focus on technology-driven projects. You will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and stakeholder expectations.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables.Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of AI and ML projects, ensuring collaboration and effective communication among team members.Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to best practices in AI and ML development.Reporting: Provide regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and next steps.Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project outcomes and implement lessons learned to enhance future project delivery.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in AI, ML, or technology-focused projects.Strong understanding of AI and ML concepts, methodologies, and technologies.Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Project Management Professional (Prince2, PMP) certification is a plus.Core Competencies:Technical Understanding of AI/MLLeadershipStrategic PlanningCommunication SkillsStakeholder ManagementWhat We Offer:Contracting opportunityApplication Process:Interested candidates should submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their relevant experience and qualifications.
