Position Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee all projects and teams within an assigned region. You will be responsible for managing project delivery from start to finish, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. This includes coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment, and acting as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and project execution.
This role will be based in a shared office in Auckland, and will require regular travel across the North Island, and quarterly travel to Oamaru (head office).
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Manage all project stages from initiation to completion. Monitor project budgets and timelines.
Work closely with Team Leaders to ensure efficient project execution.
Coordinate resources, schedules, and equipment to ensure timely delivery.
Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, defining project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, enhancing services and ensuring satisfaction.
Quality control: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Conduct site audits, manage project closure, and provide detailed debriefs.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the team.
Qualifications/Skills:
Proven experience in managing projects and teams ( building maintenance or construction industry preferably ).
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and work well under pressure.
Proactive approach to risk identification and management.
Experience in developing systems and structures to improve operational efficiency.
Strong budget and financial management skills.
Exceptional time management and ability to foster collaboration.
Ability to be self-driven, have a positive can-do-attitude.
