At any one point in time they are engaged in the planning and development of multiple new orchards. That's where this role comes in!About the roleWe don't necessarily need you to have experience in kiwifruit project management - this is a pretty niche area! You will have held roles that clearly show your ability to lead these sorts of activities!Reporting to the Construction Business Manager, you'll be involved from the very early stages of investigating and planning a new orchard. You'll notice that much of this role is working with expert partners. There are a large number of external and internal experts that contribute to a successful development. You'll consult and liaise with them all to ensure the best outcome possible.There are a large number of factors to a successful development including planning and project management of:Recovery Planning and Drawings: working with surveyors to establish how much of the land might be plantable / recoverable.Consenting / Site Prep / Excavation: working with partners to gain council consents, plan and carry out contouring with earthworks contractors.Water Planning and Provision: working with partners to create a plan for any boreholes, ponds, and infrastructure required to irrigate and frost protect the property.Structures & Planting: working with the internal SCH team to build the structures for the new orchard, prepare the soil, and plant a world-class orchard.What you can expectA competitive base salary & vehicle.A company-wide incentive scheme.An incredible team of experts to use as sounding boards while you pick up the role.Respectful and supportive leadership and team.Exciting projects and opportunities to develop your skills further.Are you the one we are looking for?This role requires a set of skills and capabilities, listed below.
