You'll manage and support renewal projects from start to finish, contributing to successful outcomes for capital works and enhancing our overall service delivery.Key responsibilities include:Delivery of capital works projects, including overseeing the preparation, administration, and supervision of contracts, and ensuring standards and technical documents are reviewed and approved.Managing and monitoring project expenditure, including contract payment administration and implementation of capital works related to roading assets.Providing technical support to staff, conduct QA inspections, and handle project review and closure.Fostering a 'customer first' culture by addressing customer queries promptly, engaging with communities and stakeholders, and implementing service improvements based on feedback.Representing Council at meetings, track customer service metrics, and provide regular reports on customer service measures.About youWe are seeking a personable and proactive individual with a strong background in engineering and extensive experience in the field. You'll thrive by leveraging your problem-solving abilities, excellent time management skills, and adaptability. Your attention to detail and accuracy will ensure you handle challenges with flexibility and efficiency.In addition, you will have:A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.At least ten years of post-graduate experience, including contract and project management.Construction supervision experience and knowledge of NZTA specifications.A valid driver's license.A friendly approach that fosters positive and constructive relationships.What we offerKaipara District Council offers a flexible, supportive, and inclusive team culture within a collaborative environment.
