You'll manage and deliver key business development initiatives that go beyond our core regulated business. Your focus will be on Build, Own, Operate, and Maintain (BOOM) projects for energy assets and private renewable connection infrastructure, with opportunities in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and generation assets.
This is a high impact and influential role with loads of variety and plenty of diverse stakeholder engagement. Within our highly collaborative model, you will be instrumental in establishing the right things to work on, fostering high quality decisions and ensuring the work is delivering the required value to the business. By providing strategic advice, crafting innovative project plans, and leading dynamic cross-functional teams, you'll play a crucial role in driving Powerco's growth and success in the energy sector.
To be a success in this role, you will need: Highly developed skills and experience in project management, with a focus on energy infrastructure, renewable assets, or BOOM project environments.Ability to engage and quickly establish and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholdersDemonstrated strategic and big picture thinking, always looking aheadAbility to thrive and lead in uncertain, complex and ambiguous situations, agility and adaptability is keyAble to drive high performance through others, ensuring that the workstream teams maintain focus and momentum towards achieving the goalsIt would be ideal if you have: Demonstrated success in managing feasibility and development phases, including cost estimation, budget oversight, and resource coordination.Creativity and ability to solve problems in unconventional ways.Experience working on unregulated energy projects and private infrastructure, ideally within New Zealand.About us Our purpose is to connect communities.
