About the Role:
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding AA Insurance's hybrid cloud data platform—built primarily on AWS with Azure components for security and access—through its final transition from build completion into full operational readiness. This role is essential for planning, managing, and executing the smooth handover from project teams to BAU teams, ensuring all production readiness standards are met.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational and production readiness, with experience coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve go-live and handover milestones. They will manage cross-team dependencies, adhere to established deployment practices, and ensure all readiness requirements are fulfilled. Previous experience in operations or infrastructure project management is essential, as this role focuses on the successful operationalization and transfer of a production-ready platform.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead one or more projects in our Enterprise and Transformation portfolios.
Develop and manage project-related documents, including project plans, status reports, risks, issues, and decision artefacts.
Manage and report on project expenditure for timely and budget-conscious delivery.
Execute robust change management plans, considering all business impacts.
Facilitate engagement among stakeholders, internal resources, and partners for successful project delivery.
Collaborate with the PM Practice to share best practices, identify opportunities, and uplift practice capabilities.
Your Skills and Attributes:
3-5 years of experience in delivering large-scale and transformation projects
Technology project delivery, with experience in operations and/or infrastructure project management, is essential
Insurance background preferable but not mandatory
Experience with end-to-end project management lifecycle including planning, executing and reporting
Expertise in delivery and change management methodologies, including Agile, Lean, and ADKAR
Working knowledge of platforms such as Jira and Confluence
Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, prioritization, and communication skills.
Flexibility to take up variety of projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Keenness to share delivery knowledge and learnings through training and coaching would be a plus.
