About the opportunity | Te whai waahi As our Project Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, and insights to manage $500m+ annual cashflow and accruals within the Global Engineering & Technical function. This role ensures that forecasting and accounting meet minimum KPIs. Key accountabilities include: Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop comprehensive financial models for capital projects, ensuring they align with Fonterra's strategic goals and financial policies. Provide detailed variance analysis to forecast and actuals, enabling proactive management of project finances. Reporting & Insights: Deliver accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and insights that drive informed decision-making in projects. Ensure that stakeholders have a clear understanding of the project's financial health and performance metrics. Compliance & Control: Maintain rigorous financial controls and compliance Cost Optimization: Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising project quality or timelines. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a finance partner to project teams, providing financial expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle. Lead the capitalization process Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis and recommendations that support long-term investment decisions and capital allocation. Leadership & Collaboration: Lead by example in fostering a culture of financial accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with finance and non-finance colleagues to enhance overall project performance. About you | Moe koe A qualification in Finance or Commercial is highly desired for this role. You possess strong financial and analytical skills, with experience in project accounting or finance. You are proficient in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting, and have a proven ability to interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders effectively. Your experience includes capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx) planning and analysis. Additionally, you have a solid understanding of project management principles and practices, along with familiarity with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
