We are looking for an experienced mechanical or process engineer with a passion for project management and a proven track record as a project engineer!
What's the mahi? As our new Project Engineer based in either Tamaki Makaurau/Auckland, Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington or Otautahi/Christchurch , you'll be a vital part of the Energy and Industrial team who are changing the way we design and deliver projects to some of New Zealand's largest industrial clients. This role offers an exciting chance to work on a variety of challenging projects, playing a key project management role in their successful delivery and fostering strong client relationships.
Some Key Responsibilities Aotearoa wide travel to visit our clients and their facilities to scope and deliver small, major or large projects that have strategic importance or are 'value add'.
Bringing your personality and effective communication style to lead Client interactions as well as sub-contractors and the wider Aurecon team.
Using your experience to define and resolve our clients issues with a practical and value focused lens.
Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
Bringing your genuine self to work in a team environment with the ability to grow your expertise, our culture and emerging engineers.
Growing capability to position and assist Aurecon with continued growth in the New Zealand manufacturing sector.

What are we looking for from you? As well as experience in a similar engineering position, you will also have:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
5-10 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on project management and project engineering.
Experience in the energy and/or dairy industry, particularly in design, with a strong understanding and appreciation of services and fluid piping/hygienic design requirements.
Able to bring innovation to complex problems using your problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to articulate complex technical ideas and solutions in both written and verbal communications which are tailored appropriately for the audience.
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering multi discipline projects in the industry area ranging in complexity and size.
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
