Project Director / Construction Manager
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Salary: Up to $250,000 + per annum, depending on experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director/Construction Manager with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly within airport or airfield environments. This role requires a dynamic leader who can oversee complex construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the successful delivery of major civil works projects, including airport/airfield developments, ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Oversee all aspects of civil construction, including earthworks, pavements, drainage, utilities, and associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with aviation and regulatory standards.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure financial control.
Ensure robust project planning, including resource allocation, risk management, and quality control, to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Monitor project progress, conducting regular site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Resolve complex construction challenges on-site, providing guidance and support to project managers and engineers.
Champion best practices in construction management, driving continuous improvement and innovation across projects.
Key Requirements:
Extensive experience as a Project Director or Construction Manager, with a strong track record in civil works, particularly within airport/airfield environments.
Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards relevant to airport construction.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
Strong financial acumen, with experience managing multi-million-dollar project budgets.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
