We have a fixed term opportunity for a Project Coordinator to work in a small Secretariat supporting the Ministerial Advisory Committee (the Committee) working on the closure of greyhound racing.
You will work with the Team Leader to create and track project documentation.
You will be able to: Create and track various project documentation to ensure work is delivered on timeSet up meetings, including arranging venues and ensuring people are informed of the meetings, and accurately recording minutes and action pointsPrepare papers for meetings in an accurate and timely fashionPrepare and distribute formal communications as requiredCollect, summarise and analyse information as neededProduce reports as requiredMaintain the resource plan, risk register and change register, ensuring any action plans are followed up and resolvedYou will have: Practical experience in project coordination (reporting, steering group preparation, document management, etc)Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications effectively for a wide variety of tasks; proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, Teams and e-mailKnowledge and experience of risk and issue managementExcellent administration and organisational skills: the ability to plan, manage and follow through, to ensure the best workflowDetail-oriented with the ability to anticipate risks and the consequences of decisions and commitmentsSound communication skills - both oral and written - able to produce clear, concise and fit-for-purpose project documentationWhat we offer you: An opportunity to apply your project management skills on a high-profile issue, working with senior leadersFlexible, family-friendly working arrangementsProfessional development and learning that meets individual needs and facilitates career pathwaysWellness initiatives for overall health and wellbeingThe Department of Internal Affairs is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion.
