Job Description:We are looking for a Project Architect to join our in-house Design team in Wellington or Auckland.Reporting to the Group Architectural Manager, you will be leading the production and management of the architectural design and a team of staff on allocated projects. Our projects are based all over the country and contain both commercial and residential buildings that are designed in-house. You will be an experienced team leader that can mentor and motivate the junior staff members to excel, and be able to plan your own and your team's work to make sure your project and staff are set up to succeed.Working in Summerset's Design team brings with it several unique aspects. Our design and build model provides exposure to the buildability and commercial aspects of the construction process through regular contact with experts within the same team. Being part of a wider business also means stakeholders across different parts of Summerset, such as Marketing, Sales and Operations who are all involved in feedback to the Design team. Our BIM process and innovation are industry leading.What will your responsibilities be?Provide quality design outcomesHigh-quality documentation for Consent and TenderManage and develop direct reportsManagement of building consent submission and approval processManage BIM execution plan, BIM processes and Revit modelsEnsure Summerset design standards are met during construction and provide continual improvement feedback Qualifications:Who we are looking for?New Zealand Registered Architect or LBP3 qualifiedExperienced in line management of a team of graduates and techniciansDetail focused on technical sound solutions and design outcomes.Around 10 years' industry experience with a similar business or with a consultancyRevit software experience; BIM methodology and process experienceRendering and presentation documentation skillsProven technical ability to produce effective construction and building consent documentation Additional Information:Please note due to NZ Immigration requirements we are obliged to consider candidates that already have the right to work in NZ for this role first.
